Chamorro Savory Turnovers
Our corn-flour turnovers are an island-inspired version of an "empanada". Our turnovers contain a delicious, savory filling made with chicken, mushroom, and rice, flavored with a delightful array of spices inspired by the unique culture of our island origins in the Marianas Commonwealth. We offer spicy and non-spicy versions, as well as a vegan mushroom version. Our empanadas can be deep-fried or shallow fried in only a few minutes. They can also be air-fried or baked.
Chicken Salad and Coconut-Milk Flour Tortillas
This tropical chicken salad (or "kelaguen") pairs with our tortillas (or "titidzas") made with wheat flour and coconut milk. A tangy citrus zing brightens the chicken and coconut in the salad, and red ginger provides a refreshing cold snap, which couples nicely to a slight bit of heat in our spicy version.
